Accidental overdose of 2 million IU of vitamin D3 caused zero symptoms

June 24, 2026

Two nursing home residents accidentally got 2 MILLION IU of D3 in one go.

That's 3-9 years of vitamin D3 in a single dose.

Staff just... watched to see if they'd blow up.

Result? Mild calcium bump for ~2 weeks, ZERO serious symptoms or hospital trips.
